Are you Pro-Life or just Anti-Abortion???

I have heard people say they are Pro-Life, but I wonder if they really know when life begins? There is no question about it to me, it is at conception. There has been medically documentation as well as the Bible telling us that we were known before we were formed."Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations." Jeremiah 1:5.

"Development of the embryo begins at Stage 1 when a sperm fertilizes an oocyte and together they form a zygote."
[England, Marjorie A. Life Before Birth. 2nd ed. England: Mosby-Wolfe, 1996, p.31]

I am saddened when I hear that Christians that profess to be Pro-Life are using methods of Birth Control, WAIT, BIRTH CONTROL???? The name BIRTH control should tell us what it is, right. Controlling birth, not conception, the beginning of life?! What are we thinking?????!!!! I cannot believe for a second that God is pleased when we take life in our hands. Now some may argue that it is just a name and that it doesn't control birth but rather pregnancy. Well I am going to scan in what my Kaiser Midwife gave me about this so called contraceptive device that she said does not allow you to get pregnant, and she says isn't going to destroy life.

So if you can get pregnant with it in, obviously you can get pregnant and kill your baby before you even realize you are pregnant. And it is NOT controlling pregnancy, but like its name birth!

Well there you have it. It is going to try to stop the sperm from getting to an egg, then if that doesn't work it will try to stop it from fertilizing it, and if that doesn't work then it "prevents a fertilized egg (Zygote-aka BABY) from implanting on the uterine wall"!!! Yes people it kills, maybe not the first method or even the second, but are you really going to chance the third method of killing your child?
"Human development begins after the union of male and female gametes or germ cells during a process known as fertilization (conception).
"Fertilization is a sequence of events that begins with the contact of a sperm (spermatozoon) with a secondary oocyte (ovum) and ends with the fusion of their pronuclei (the haploid nuclei of the sperm and ovum) and the mingling of their chromosomes to form a new cell. This fertilized ovum, known as a zygote, is a large diploid cell that is the beginning, or primordium, of a human being."
[Moore, Keith L. Essentials of Human Embryology. Toronto: B.C. Decker Inc, 1988, p.2]

We see these videos on abortion and are grieved by them and many Christians are doing the same thing by using IUD's. I really think that the world and medical world has brain washed us. How sad that we are willing to take life in our hands. I have also known two ladies that were damaged from an IUD and it embedding into there uterus. One friend has offered to share her story with anyone who will listen, so please let me know if you would like to talk with her and I will get you connected with her.

Are you really Pro-Life or just Anti-abortion???

God wants to bless you, maybe with a child please do not listen to the devil, or your Dr. when they say an IUD is safe or isn't killing babies, because it is! Read the pamphlet from Mirena! Here is what I copied and pasted from Mirena's website:

http://www.mirena-us.com/faqs/index.jsp#25

A Mirena slowly releases very small amounts of the hormone levonorgestrel directly into your uterus.

There is no single explanation for how Mirena works. Mirena may:

  • Thicken cervical mucus to prevent sperm from entering your uterus
  • Inhibit sperm from reaching or fertilizing your egg
  • Make the lining of your uterus thin

Mirena may stop the release of your egg from your ovary, but this is not the way it works in most cases. Most likely the above actions work together to prevent pregnancy. Like other forms of birth control, Mirena is not 100% effective. If there is a chance that you could become pregnant than there is a chance that you could abort!

If you believe that life is at conception, how can you use a deadly device! "Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin."James 4:17 . I am kindly trying to warn those that will listen. If you read the info mentioned here you will see for yourself.

This is just me thinking and rambling on about something that I am passionate about. My husband and I are loving the life that God has blessed us with and the children He has given us. I merely want to warn others that are being deceived, stop listening to the lie of the devil. (who might be disguised as your Dr.)

  2. "I've always found it interesting that women who do not generally practice birth control are the ones put in a class; "those people"..."those Quiver Full people". I find that odd. Women whose bodies are doing what they were created to do have to explain why they aren't taking a synthetic drug that alters it's normal function? Does this not seem odd? generationcedar.blogspot.com"

  4. Fantastic post. For years, as a Christian I was totally ignorant on this subject. I came to understand it more, and naturally became truly pro-life, as you described it.

The vast amount of ignorance on this subject is what shocks me. I have talked to women who have teenage children and have used some of the methods of birth control you listed for decades and they were SHOCKED to learn of its abortifacient properties.

Sadly, half the people don't believe me and think I'm just a nutty Michelle Duggar wannabe, and the other half just don't care. They would never have an "abortion" and condemn the practice, but don't see they're doing the exact same thing.

  5. @Elizabeth, I know exactly what you mean by a Michelle Duggar wantabe! We are looked upon as odd?!

  6. I agree. I enjoyed Nancy Campbell's(Above Rubies-love their magazine) book- Be Fruitful and Multiply-Vision Forum has it in their catalog. Randy Alcorn has a book-Does the Birth Control Pill cause abortions?(Our Baptist church gave out this book.) Then there's the Hess's book- A Full Quiver. We have 6 children and 4 granddaughters(so far). I went to the gyn and the dr.(she) was wearing that thing like a necklace. John MacArthur and his church have an interesting book out-Right Thinking in a World Gone Wrong(2009) but I disagree with chapter 8 where it talks about birth control.

  7. Katerina,

Your mom was the first person to bring this to my attention a long time ago. This is a great post, and a bold post!!!

You are a blessing to me!

  8. I'm just curious. What do you think a wife should do if she had a life-threatenng pregnancy, and is told by doctors and midwives to wait at least a year or two to get pregnant again, for health reasons? Wouldn't using birth control (like condoms) be better than putting your life on the line when your first baby needs you?

  9. Anonymous, since those methods aren't killing babies they are safe. However, I think that is something for each couple to decide for themselves.

  10. Thanks for you response. I am in the "safe zone" as far as being able to have a VBAC according to doctors at the hospital, if I got pregnant soon, but my midwife told me to wait till at least 6 months from now so I'm trusting that. I'm very pro-life, but not to the extreme of putting the mom's life at risk. I think it's wonderful that you have several children! You are blessed!!

  11. Anonymous~If you don't mind me asking, what happened to qualify it as a life-threatening pregnancy? Did the Dr. AND Midwife say to wait at least a year? Was the midwife a hospital or home-birth midwife? I'm just curious as to why you would have to wait a year or two? Obviously if there is a "real" medical reason then, if you and your husband agree, using some form of barrier method would obviously be the best thing. But as they have a pretty high fail rate I would think trusting God and going more for NFP would be the better option. That's just my opinion however :) Hope you don't mind the questions from Bobbin Aubins nosy older sister :D

  12. I use birth control cause I have a medical condition...so before you judge take at look at yourself honey.

  13. Svetlana, I am not judging anyone who is using a method of contraception that doesn't kill babies, like the IUD. As stated that is something a husband and wife must decide. I am strong believer in LIFE and I am not going to stand by let murder be swept under the rug. Satan has been deceiving people long enough.
BTW, I have a sister-in-law that has Hodgkins Lymphoma Cancer (she's been fighting it for 2+ years)who is being "safe" with out using birth control! They are "careful", and she would NEVER use something that kills. She is a strong Christian, wife, mother, sister, friend, that has so much FAITH!
    Sickness does not justify murder!

  14. My husband and I did not practice birth control and I nursed all 6 of my children. I was told to wait after my 2 miscarriages- one was between our first and second babies and the second miscarriage was between my last two. We didn't wait and did not have any problems. I married at 18 and my last baby was born when I was 38. Now I have a 20-year old daughter with Type 1 diabetes(since 5). Her daughter, Aliyah(11m.) ,was born a month early and went into NICU for a week- she is doing great now. PTL.

  15. I wonder if Svetlana has a condition that could be controlled with herbs and homeopathy? Things like PCOS need hormonal therapy, but a lot of the time can be controlled just fine using natural hormones as opposed to synthetic pills that kill babies. It obviously depends on whether you and your husband are O.K. with causing an abortion every month?

  16. I have PMDD. I was hospitalized twice for it. Birth Control is the only thing that seems to stabilized my moods. Trust me I tried everything from medicine to natural medicine. I am not married, I do not have sex I am a student I have no time to have sex. So how am I killing babies? Or having an abortion every month? Technically you are having an abortion every month every time you have a period. That could have been your future baby.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I too suffer from PMDD. I have never been hospitalized for it, but have had recent success with Turmeric. Have you ever tried it? It has worked tremendously for alot of people suffering from hormonal issues.

No one ever said you were killing babies. If you are not married or sexually active there isn't even the possibility. You cannot have an abortion until you conceive. Conception (read LIFE) begins the moment the sperm enters the egg. So technically you are not having an abortion every month unless you have conceived. Otherwise, you are simply shedding the lining prepared to meet and sustain the life. If there's no life then it's just an empty shell.

No one is judging you for taking BC for your issues. If that's the only option you have then that's your decision. The point of the whole blog is that life begins at conception and as a christian how can you condone taking something that will kill a baby you might have conceived.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Well then I guess I just will not ever have sex or married. :) As.. I do not want to be hospitalized again.

  19. I know your a christian and what you believe is what you believe but what is right for you is not right for all.
As I christian myself what gets me most is that you preach at women (when we should all take care and stand up for one another regardless of religion) making them feel like their fertility should be the concern of god? I'm sure god knows I have love in my heart for him that does not need to be demostrated by bringing countless children into the world.
Let me tell you honey, I applaud you for having children, children are your goal in life. They're not mine yet. So I take birth control I have the IUD. It stops sperm from getting to the egg. Meaning life never occured.
    Stop spreading false information.
This the the first and last time I will come to your blog. I don't expect you to post this either. Good luck and god bless. Just try and open your mind a bit, not everyone takes such a hardline approach in their love for the lord.

  20. @Anonymous, "It stops sperm from getting to the egg." WRONG The Mirena says "There is no single explanation for how Mirena works. Mirena may:

    * Thicken cervical mucus to prevent sperm from entering your uterus
    * Inhibit sperm from reaching or fertilizing your egg
    * Make the lining of your uterus thin"
So it works in many ways, I understand that it's not always killing babies.
You won't open my eyes on anything for they've been opened to the truth. Even my childrens pediatrician recommended that if I believe "life at conception" an IUD is not a good choice. His wife had one had got pregnant with it in, their baby came out with it in its head. So obviously it doesn't prevent life from occurring.
Heaven is getting more and more populated, by abortion. The sad fact is that many of those little souls are being sent their by Christians that don't even realize it.

  21. @Anonymous, Bobbin Aubins did have an open mind and did a lot of resurch from both sides. She did not just decide to have this vew. It is something she really studdied. This is truth that she posted and I am proud of her taking the right stand. She did not blog this to make people mad. She has really prayed about this blog for a long time and put a lot of care into it. I think if you are getting so upset you are feeling guilty because you do not want to be reminded of what you are doing.
